July 19, 2006 Board Meeting Agenda Item #9 Title APPROVAL OF FINAL ORDER IN SCHOOL BOARD V. GILBERT Description On June 7, 2006, Division of Administrative Hearings Administrative Law Judge Harry L. Hooper entered a Recommended Order finding "Mr. Gilbert had sexual relations with a minor on the campus of Sarasota High School" and recommending that the School Board uphold its prior termination of Mr. Gilbert's employment.  Mr. Gilbert has not filed any exceptions to the Recommended Order. Recommendation That the School Board enter a Final Order adopting the Recommended Order of the Administrative Law Judge in DOAH Case Number 06-0797 and upholding the termination of Walter Gilbert's employment as of March 8, 2006.
